Not been on the site for a couple of year thought I'd have a clear out.
Probably one of the best places to list retro vintage stuff.
Listed my items as I've always done but my posts keep getting removed any explanation would be great so I can List my stuff.
I have some corking deals

Hi I can't say why your posts are being removed but a good start would be to read the site rules. Common reasons rules that get enforced are no price, all items for sale must have a price, items that are not genuine such as bootleg software and the most commonly overlooked rule proof of ownership where you have low feedback score. There's even a sticky post on that topic.

@migacollector

I've removed two of your threads because you didn't follow the rule on proving ownership.

If you'd care to list them again with the required proof you should be good to go.

Thanks that narrowed it down for me much apricated .
That's the only bit I didn't notice.

and being removed again...

proof of ownership has 3 requirements not 0 all for sale threads without proof of a value of £50 or more have been removed.

any threads recreated will also be removed if found to be duplicate listing as not to circumvent the bump rule.

on request threads that you have the require 3 items of proof will be approved for you to re-add the photographic proof.

Eh I've had posts remove today lol. I've added proof of ownership on everything even things under 50.
Unless I miss interpret something wrong.
But the head does get a little cloudy nowadays lol.

Just looked Ive got it now but you removed the posts in error. Still got the photos I posted proof of ownership on the ones you have deleted. So god knows. Seems to me I get them removed for any reason lol.

Maybe just remove all my items.
I will try to sell them off site mate

@migacollector

If in doubt, have proof of ownership clearly shown in ALL pictures that you use in your For Sale advert(s) ... no problems then :)

you had bumped or reduced the price of several of your threads removing ALL photos. hence proof was removed

I'm quite happy to enable any and all threads you wish to "edit" the photo's back in.

not a monster just keeping Amibay safe for all.

Actually just been thinking that but obviously if you post pics then zoom out to take a picture of the whole lot how's it not going to get removed. Or a shot of my TV screen to show a device working. Seems a bit ott to me. Seeing as the background in the different photos and position of the items don't change. I either take pics in my living room or kitchen. On all my stuff wherever I've listed it. So same wallpaper same unit same TV etc. Seems like I'm getting targeted but that could be my bdp lol.

I've not removed photos only on sold games left the main one up with proof on. Then one of the games left that was already proved on the main.

I reduced my prices on ebay. I list them cheaper on here. So had to reduce them on here I have a room full and the wife has been moaning for ages.
She would give them away lol.

I am approving all posts where the photo's have returned

I'm guessing an issue at i.ibb.co where you host the photos caused them to vanish ?

Why don't you just code a pop up/click to accept before posting that mentions that rule as it would make everyones lives a lot easier it seems.

its in the rules you have to agree to

its a the top of EVERY forum sticked

also in every for sale section at the top "Please read before posting"

Please read me before posting

guess how many read that or notice its there

Amibay,,, no pop ups or clicks no thanks just read the rules..

Thats exactly the point. Haven't you spotted the pattern yet were people post, gets deleted, bitchfits at dawn, rinse and repeat. You could make it a lot easier on yourself or keep pointing at the rules that no one obviously reads.

@SherlockHomeless - People can also make their time on here more pleasurable by both reading and taking notice of the rules before posting.

@Sardine - Perhaps a re-title of the post "Please read before posting" to something a bit more noticeable would be sufficient. Something along the lines of "Latest Amibay Rules - Read them!" might make more of an impact with everyone.

We've tried posting in the threads originally and nobody took any notice.

So we switched to removing the posts to save all the toing and froing of PMs to get proof of ownership added.

We've created stickies in all the For Sale forums.

This sticky and others https://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?109766-Proof-of-ownership-when-selling-items and https://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?114125-Proof-of-Ownership and https://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?114660-Has-your-NEW-for-Sale-thread-just-vanished

Or we could just issue infraction points for failing to follow the rules that you all agreed to on joining AmiBay

@davideo - Infraction points are good, might wake up a few users who constantly flout the rules. What about sending a copy of the rules or any revisions to everyone via PM? Is that possible via vBulletin?

That may be possible - I'll raise that with the Devs.

The facility that we have always had in place when major rules change is to force all members to reread and tick a box accepting the updated rules before they can continue to use the site.

I think this is the best method to enforce the updates and also removes any argument that you didn't read and agree to the updates. I will trigger a full reread and agreement to the rules for everyone this week.

Mods also have the ability to force individual members to need to reread and reaccept the rules, which is a great way to kill an argument when a member pretends ignorance to them.
