Had anyone seen it live Showing AMD Zen CPU(I think they using 8 core and 16 threads) vs I7 6900K(I think) and it wasnt using TURBO CPU yet but seem impressive. I am wondering what the price going be?

P.S. I dont really know what Threads is!

I have not looked at thay yet but am hoping that AMD can catch up. I've been running AMD for a good few generations and even thou they have never been top of the line in performance everything works. It's your GPU that does the heavy lifting for graphics and I can't say I've had any issues.

I'm waiting for zen before building my next pc.
Will be nice to see Amd putting out some decent cpu's again.

16 threads is just hyperthreading. So each of the 8 cores can queue and very quickly run 2 different processes.

Windows will see it as 16 cores.

Well there is fairly little info, except where they do a test vs. a downclocked Broadwell Intel, since they couldn't get the early sample to run very fast.

I planned to wait until Zen too but a month or so ago I just got the hardware bug and went for an i6-6600k when it was slightly discounted.
Very pleased so far when doing 3D rendering and similar tasks.

But I am guessing an 8C/16T Zen CPU will pack a harder punch, if the price is reasonable ofc.

I really hope AMD delivers this time. Lisa Su seems very enthusiastic about it all but until I have one sitting in my own desktop for under $600, then I'll believe it when I see it.

I could build myself computer for £450 with I7 6700 now but the RYZEN Cpu is testing my patient to wait for it!

Yeah, I currently run a 4790k myself and love it - it's great, but at the same time could certainly see the benefit of going Ryzen if it's truly faster and with the additional cores/threads being used for creative things.
