Some of you might have seen the post in the rant area about GTAV, since the online services is working a lot better now a few of us here have started an Amibay Crew, anyone is welcome to join, we're not a serious gaming Clan, just out to have some fun and play amongst common faces since the main problem with public servers is erm, the public :picard

I hope the site Admin's are ok for me to use Amibay as our name, I though it would be easier for Amibayers to find!

If you have a headset, please switch it on! It will help you get the most out of the session, especially the jobs and upcoming online heists.

We play on the PS3 by the way. (PS4 from 18-11-14) So feel free to join in and have some fun! We've been online most evening's the last couple of weeks and even a little bit during the day.

How does the online game work? Im expecting it to be gang warfare type for territory/control and money... am i close?

It's a bit more structured then that, sure that's what most of the kids are doing but when you get together as a group you can do jobs and eventually heists as a team.

Building up your player and collecting stats, cash, car, etc is all fun too.

The jobs range from races to death matches to mini missions, again done as a team or pitted against each other.

As you rank up you get access to better weaponry and perks to help you on your journey.

Me and Steve attempted to steal fighter jets for a little while this evening and although we got into the planes we were shot dead while trying to take off or just after. Steve did manage to escape but later crashed the plane :Doh:

We'll about 5 minutes after you logged off Steve I managed to get away with the jet :)

Hey slk486,

There is a short introduction when you first go online, you create you character, pick a car and get started with some basic mission type jobs.

You start with just a hand gun but if you link your Rockstar Social Club account you can get a free Shotgun at ammunation and once you save up enough for your first Garage you can get a free 'Sports' class Car too :)

I'll spend an how with you if you like just doing a simple 1 lap race on repeat so that you can rank up and earn some easy Money, otherwise the easiest way is to do the jobs in a 'friends or crew only' server to save getting blown up by other wannabe gangsters :lol:

One word of advice, always log off properly with 'leave GTA online' or you could loose some progress, if you get message the cloud servers are offline do you want to play without saving (DONT!)

And finally if it fails to save whilst you're playing, don't worry when a connection is re-established it will save, I recommend not quitting the game until it's reconnected (usually only a few mins)

That's it, one of us will guide you around and give you all the best tips and tricks, for example easy money you can sell 1 car to Pay n Spray every 48 mins, some are worth approx £9000, go for the one that looks like a Range Rover, it's common and worth £9k and you can sell one as said each hour!

When picking your first Car take your time to get a decent one as you'll be stuck with it, I recommend finding it in the 'Rockford Hills' area as there are some nice ones to be had, you wont however be able to choose one from Sports or Super Class. These have to be bought with your own money... :coffee:

Wow, thanks for that detailed intro! I'll log in i I have time tonight and do the basics, then I'll join up with you guys, just having fun. Don't mind getting blown up :D

Way faster than the default one when fully upgraded :cool:

I spent all my cash last night (250k) on a mallard light aircraft and a sunny speed boat :lol:

I didn't want to buy another car so looked around the web and thats what i came across.
