Range Rovers are pretty useless off road too though. Great pulling machines though, able to tow up to 4 tons!
And the thing is... you might be able to fit off road tires on the expensive 4x4's, but how expensive is that going to cost for the wide tyres those sports 4x4's need? Plus it makes their road handling dire, and 99% of the time that is all they are used for. To me that type of 4x4 is a pointless vehicle... someone who really needs a 4x4 for off road work wouldn't realistically be interested in a fast 0-60 time, a 4 litre petrol engine and 4 exhausts (take the US out of the equation before answering that one!

I know a neighbour who just bought a new top of the range Range Rover just because it has good performance (he likes sports cars) but with enough room to fit his golf clubs in the back and look good parked at the gold course!
