Range Rovers are pretty useless off road too though. Great pulling machines though, able to tow up to 4 tons!

And the thing is... you might be able to fit off road tires on the expensive 4x4's, but how expensive is that going to cost for the wide tyres those sports 4x4's need? Plus it makes their road handling dire, and 99% of the time that is all they are used for. To me that type of 4x4 is a pointless vehicle... someone who really needs a 4x4 for off road work wouldn't realistically be interested in a fast 0-60 time, a 4 litre petrol engine and 4 exhausts (take the US out of the equation before answering that one! ;)).

I know a neighbour who just bought a new top of the range Range Rover just because it has good performance (he likes sports cars) but with enough room to fit his golf clubs in the back and look good parked at the gold course!

L200 it is, it's the Walkinshaw Performance version.

Even with the wheel and tyres changes, it still handles off-road better than those SUV-type cars.

Plus, because it's a "commercial vehicle" I only pay 100 quid a year road tax, hehe, not 500 like it should be on it's emissions.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

@Wompus

That's a very pretty truck. I really like the curves.

Heather

If I'm not mistaken that is a Mitsubishi L200.

My dad has owned a black L200 Warrior with leather interior for a few years now, with a cab back fitted over the pickup rear to form a very large load space. It makes a great 4x4 and it can handle itself well off road, which is more than can be said for most of the executive mark 4x4 pretenders you see on the roads these days. None of those can handle anything off road, which was proved last year at a shoot my Dad was running. All these "toffs" from London turned up in their BMW, Merc, Lexus and Porche 4x4s and couldn't get them to even go up a simple steep slope without them sliding around all over the place with wheels spinning. He laughed a lot, then jumped in his Warrior and drove past them up the slope and suggested they all leave their "sports cars" at the bottom and offered to give them a lift. Then to rub it in, the game keeper drove past in his 60's Landrover with no problem. :)

it's a US M3, so a S52B32US, not the same as the euro. stock it's 240HP/240TQ...

the turbo kit is a Technique Turbo, running on modified OEM DME, the C/R is dropped with a MLS headgasket, it have 42LB injectors, modified MAF and everything... 3" exhaust, I have 2 wheels set, one BBS two pieces and those... I also installed a eBoost 2 boost contoller...

it's 400 HP to the rear wheels, and 400 LB/FT torque to the wheels... so about 475HP to the crank...

yes it's a real M3...

sweet ride dude!:D

didn't you need to change the pistons from dome headed to flat tops?

nope , stock pistons and rods...

When I will build engine, I will replace the turbo for a GT35R HTA, +Meth injection, and 18+PSI (should be in the 550-600WHP)

talking to Zetr0 last night he said he'd like to see some pictures of my friends ratted 2.5ltr air cooler VW beetle, so here it is....check out the angle of the wheels, i've seen this thing kick the butt of an Audi RS6

also i just had to have my inner and outer sills replaced:( took the opportunity to put some sill covers on at the same time:D

Nice one Juvvy - this is the MGF I was telling you about, when she was a little newer

I think we'll do a full overhaul in the next few months and bring her back to this former glory!

This was taken in Scotland about 4/5 years ago.

I have a ford Kuga 2.0 TDI Zetec which has been modded to the same spec as the Titanium, including rear parking camera (for the mrs honest :D), built in sat nav etc.

I want a Audi Q7 next.

@JuvUK. Shame the Beetle's bodywork and chrome isn't in better condition. Is it a work in progress.

BTW, I also would love an Audi... but an RS5. I can but dream. But I know what you mean about the "special" BMW drivers switching over to Audi's. I have them riding a foot from the rear of my car on the motorway most days.

Also currently a huge fan of the current Nissan GTR (SpecV).

that's the whole point of a "ratty" car m8, it is supposed to be rusty with flat tired looking paint, then when it goes, F me! does it go! it upsets a lot of people that have spent a lot of money on thier cars:lol:

I think that's where I'm going with my Amiga 3000. Not gonna respray it at all, it can keep the bangs and scratches, but still go like the clappers! The old girl's been through an awful lot but she's still kicking. I think she should wear those scars with pride :-)
