Attention: This is a European model. I have no clue whether it will work on your power outlet or television set

The Amiga has a very clean and fresh installation:

- Some very useful utilities (diropus, snoopdos etc)
- WHDLoad + iGame GUI
- Some well-known productivity tools

The Amiga comes with a clear introduction, - suitable for beginners, to get you up & running in no time.

Please see the attached pictures, this one is in a great condition and I have taken extreme care to pack it well.

Asking € 333,33. Shipping international. Bank transfer only. Available elsewhere.

To figure out shipping costs, use this website: http://www.pakjeopsturen.nl/package/search on the right fill in postcode 1000 AA. select your country from the dropdown, then fill in the dimensions (60x40x20) and weight (8600) of the package

I have made up my mind and will erase the entire harddrive before shipping. therefore I do not provide any original software.

Another price drop. Cant get much lower than this, people. Come on, why is noone interested? This one is loaded with stuff!

Hey rvo, just a friendly reminder of the rules: you can't offer any installation of Workbench or Directory Opus on the harddisk unless you provide the original install disks.. Hopefully the @mods will clear this up for you.

Correct

Sigh.. you people sure know how to demotivate people from selling their stuff here..

As long as you follow the rules to which you agreed to on joining AmiBay then there won't be any problems.

That's all that we're asking you and everybody else to do :)

Thank you for the update.

Thanks guys, but I have the feeling that logic doesnt apply here on Amibay :|

As long as you follow the rules of AmiBay there won't be any problems.

In this particular case and your other threads all we are asking you to do is to follow this rule
You can only sell what you legally own:
You may only sell what you own, or have been authorised to sell. In regards to software and firmware devices - unauthorised copies are not permitted to be sold on AmiBay. In particular, there is no legal definition of the term 'abandonware'.

Just like everybody else.

Directory opus is open source software now so should be fine?

See here http://sourceforge.net/projects/dopus5allamigas/

Should be OK with a Workbench 3.0/3.1 (depending on installed KS) install as well (all 1200's are licensed even if you haven't got the original disks to hand - it'd be like the license you get on an OEM Windows PC for example).

WB licensing for what came originally with particular machines should be;

1000 - upto 1.3
500/2000 - 1.2/1.3 (later 2000's came with 2.0+)
500+ - 2.04+
CDTV - 2.0+
3000 - 2.0+
600 - 2.04+
1200/4000 - 3.0
Amiga Technologies 1200/4000 - 3.1

So my comment has been removed (silently) because of whatever reason

My point was simple though.. no rules have been broken since Directory Opus (4 & 5) is open source as Tahoe stated correctly.. then we have the Workbench, which is licensed through the Kickstart ROM.. so based on what Kickstart you have, you are entitled to have the workbench installed on the internal hard drive regardless if you still have the floppies or not.

If anyone disagrees then respond to it.. don't just delete a post.. that is a bit childish init?

Your post was moderated out while the legality of the subject was discussed.

As this is a sale thread then can we get back to the sale and if you want to discuss the legality of installing software on a HD without supplying the original media can I suggest you open a thread :)

Mate.. come on.. only my post was removed where as the others who said the same were left in.. apologies for saying so, but I do have a hard time buying that as it has not been the first time that one of my comments has been removed.. I admit that I have always been a bit of a rebel or even a misfit if you like to call it.. but I find a discussion should be fair enough.. and discussing it does not make it illegal since this is not some government site.. for the community it is good to have these discussions.. and your rules I respect as for that I signed.. but when I see posts from the powers that be on Steam accounts and their value.. then I could be saying that price discussions there are clearly ignored.

Anyhow.. no hard feelings.. moving on with the sales thread on this fine piece of machinery !!

Well, to be honest..

here's been 17 posts in this thread and only a few deal with the sale itself. Same goes for my other sale. I'd say this whole discussion wasnt really needed.

In my opinion, and Im quite sure Im entitled to in my own thread, this site is supposed to be an auction site for an obsolete hobby platform. I think you're taking it way too far with all these 'legal matters' and millions of other rules. Yes, you were probably right about the WHDLoad games archive, but in my own country selling a machine like that is no problem at all.

All the other discussions were really not needed and certainly demotivated me and many other people from selling their stuff here.

(note this was directed to 'davideo', not iRetrOVolver)

posting interest in this Amiga. Having issues with getting an accelerator to work in my other Amiga, hopefully getting a complete system will allow me to play freely with a nice system.
