Hi all,

I have decided to sell my recapped Amiga 1200 complete with:

Apollo 1240 accelerator with 32mb RAM
4GB CF HDD - Workbench 3.1 installed
Working floppy drive

The machine is in good condition but please examine the pictures. I can provide a power supply if required but it does add to the bulk of the package and increases the weight.

I am looking for £650 £600 plus shipping costs. Payment via PayPal friends and family. I am willing to ship worldwide.

Don't forget that you must supply original copies of the Workbench 3.1 floppy disks if you are selling the A1200 with it pre-installed.
Just out of curiosity why is this a requirement? We all know all 1200s came with a copy of Workbench 3.0/3.1 in the box. I could understand the requirement for Hyperion’s 3.1.4 and newer but not the original ones.

@Vallenrod

If you have a licensed / original copy of Workbench installed on the computer's hard drive then the original floppy disks go with it as part of the sale or the HD/SD/CF get's wiped.

Selling on AmiBay

You can only sell what you legally own
You may only sell what you own, or have been authorised to sell. In regards to software and firmware devices - unauthorised copies are not permitted to be sold on AmiBay. In particular, there is no legal definition of the term 'abandonware'.

If also for example you have games or something like Pagestream / TransWrite / DPaint IV installed but no original floppy disks - the above rule comes into effect.

That’s my point. All 1200s came bundled with the OS and by default have a license to use it. Another words there is no such thing as pirated Workbench 3.0/3.1 on an Amiga 1200 even if the disks are missing. All commercial games and software is a different story.

@Vallenrod then we’ll have to agree to disagree.

Any software installed on what ever media must be supplied with the original installation media which can’t be copies.

Just a reminder, this is a sale thread.

Any OS installed and bundled with the Amiga was also companied by the physical disks, If you lose those disks, you lose the licence.
