Hi Amibay,

The time has come for me to sell up - I'm offering my very lightly used Amiga 1200 for sale, boxed in amazing condition.

It was previously listed on preloved.co.uk, but I'll see if there's any interest here - I would genuinely love for this to go to an Amiga enthusiast.

The Magic Pack appears complete with manuals, floppies and the Amiga Format pack-in magazine. There's a black PSU and original Amiga mouse too, as well as a RetroProtect dust cove, and an RGB SCART cable with left and right phono sound connectors.

The 1200 has had it's ROMs upgraded to OS 3.2.1 (The original ROMs are included). It also has an install of 3.2.1 to a Compact Flash card mounted with an adapter on the internal IDE port, and the original 3.2.1 CD is also included.

As well as upgraded ROM's and a CF card, the Amiga also has a 68030 MTEC accelerator, with 32MB of RAM, and an FPU. It's installed in the trapdoor accelerator slot - with a bulging trapdoor cover! I'm pretty sure it's running at close to 40MHz, but check out the SpeedTest screenshot and related images for more info.

This would be a great item for a collector or Amiga enthusiast looking to build out their collection and own a boxed Amiga 1200.

Any questions, please ask, and I will do my best to answer - additional photos are also possible if you feel necessary.

I'd prefer a pickup or I could make a local delivery in the Epsom area - I would like to find it the right home. I will ship within the UK, but am reluctant to ship it abroad owing to the weight of the item and associated risks.

I'm looking for £650 via Paypal or bank transfer, and am open to near offers on the price.

Edit:

The capacitors have been replaced. They were replaced by member, 'thecorfiot' around 7 years ago

I would declare interest but noticed that it's UK only.
But got a question - were the capacitors replaced?

Hi, thanks for your interest. I managed to miss this info off the post so thank you for asking. The caps were replaced by a member here, thecorfiot, back in Dec 2017

Hi Tygerboi,

It looks like a 1D.4 - it has had the timing fixes applied at the factory according to the person who recapped it. I don't really want to open it up to check again but can do if it's absolutely vital. Image below from when I last had it open to upgrade the ROMs:

Declaring interest.
I declare interest.

I have read the post and I can see you said you are reluctant to post outside the UK. I have a UK address which would auto forward any package received on it to my location. Would you consider this as an option?

(Interest withdrawn here)

Thanks for your interest - yes, I would be willing to post this to a UK address in this manner but would have concerns about auto-forwarding - I'll obviously wrap it really well, but I worry about international handling

Hello, I have used the service in the past and they are pretty good with handling. That said it was always my intention to have this auto-forward set as insured just for additional rest of mind. All I would need is a photo or two of the package before you post it.

Interest withdrawn. (was previously declared here)
Hello, I am withdrawing interest as I found another boxed a1200 from within the EU. I wish you all the best on the sale as it looks like a very good package.

Seller was last seen on the forum back in February 2925.

Thread will be closed and the seller can ask a member of admin to reopen upon their return.
