This is the keyboard I was using before I started iterating through new versions of my mechanical keyboard design using low-profile switches. It is built with 5-pin Akko V3 Lavender Purple Pro switches and good quality screw-mount stabilizers. If you have not used these switches, they are very much like MX Brown (tactile) with a little less stem wobble. It is probably the last one I will build, as the new version is not far from done - but someone may prefer full-height MX switches to low-profile so it is offered here.

- no caps lock LED is fitted (I always found the under-key glow annoying)
- tell me what case you want to put it in and I will print the side and base rails for you, included in sale.
- ribbon cable to connect to Amiga is included.
- the kapton tape on the back is for insulation, that's where your accelerator would be closest to the keyboard.

AUD$140 (~92 USD roughly)

Indicative cost of shipping Australia $25 UK $40 USA $35... if it's less I'll refund the difference. Paypal friends & family or add 4% to the total please.

Bare PCBs are also available - I have 2 left. AUD$20 each. Probably makes sense if you also want the keyboard or are in Australia as shipping would cost more than the PCB otherwise.

Edit: Thanks @lordoftime1979 for payment, I will DM your tracking number as soon as it’s available.

Declaring interest.
Would this work in an A500 with key caps from A1200.net?

Not in an A500. A500 requires a keyboard controller, on A1200 the connection is 31-way and the keyboard controller is on the mainboard.

Also if your A1200.net keycaps are these: https://www.a1200.net/shop/amiga-keycaps-a1200-theme/
they will not fit.

These are MX switches so they match most currently available keycaps including the ones steveed had made: https://www.amibay.com/threads/amiga-mx-style-keycaps-pcbs.2446001/

ok, and what about the rigidity of the PCB? original amiga keyboard has backing metal plate, the replica is just the PCB?
There is a full-length aluminium bar 10mmx3mm - it doesn't bend. It is supported on either side by the mounts that fit into the case.

It just looks like a piece of aluminium extrusion, 10mmx3mm and is the width of the keyboard. Why?

True, it was disassembled as I measured dimensions from the mounts. It will be all reassembled for the new owner. I’ve looked into having a back or front plate for keyboards made but laser cutting adds so much to the cost. It would look neater but the aluminium bar is probably stiffer. Commodore could develop tooling to punch the plate and also fold it, not expensive when you need 100,000 units. It’s the folds that really stop the flexing, a flat laser-cut steel or aluminium plate still flexes more than you would hope, especially in the thickness most laser-cutting places can cope with.
