Hi Group,
I haven't used my Amiga 1200 in a month or so, so when I tried to install a game on my hard drive I noticed that my Workbench menu's were not available. They were working before. The right mouse click did not activate them. I am using WB 3.0. So, I tried the keyboard method of simultaneously holding down the <Alt> <Amiga> keys and my menus were there. So, I plugged the mouse into another working Amiga and it was fine. I also took that mouse and plugged it into the Amiga 1200 and the menu problem was still there. So I have eliminated the Workbench and the mouse as the issue.
Next I took the unit apart and did a continuity test on the external pins of the mouse port to the soldered connections on the reverse side of the motherboard. Continuity was fine. My question is, what do I try next?
Regards,
Rob
