These seem a bit rare, but I'd like to have an A1200 keyboard with the large reverse L-shaped enter key, US layout

Dear Brian,

As before, what you want is a keyboard like the first photo (from an A500), which has a connector shown more clearly in photo #2. Sordan.ie sells a membrane that fits both (https://sordan.ie/product/713/new-premium-hard-keyboard-membrane-pcb-amiga-500--1200-green/), as shown in the third photo.

As I noted in our prior conversation, it hasn't been written about (at least I could find no mention of it on the Amiga forums), so I don't know if it works. Except for the time involved to make the swap, the A500 Keyboard, and the cost of the Sordan.ie membrane, I could try the swap, or you could easily do it yourself with an A500 (or A2000) keyboard (cheaper if the A500 keyboard already doesn't work due to needing a membrane).

I hope this helps,

-Dan

Yup, i saw your previous reply. However, there were actual A1200 and A600 machines made with North American layout keyboards, including the large inverted-L shaped ENTER key. That's what I'm looking for, as I have enough other projects right now to keep me occupied, and don't want to chase some other potential solution just yet...

Are you sure these were ever made? My older brother bought a brand new Commodore-made Amiga 1200 in 1993 in the United States and it did not have the large enter key. It had the ISO-style enter key.

I'm 99.99% positive that there were some made, until the cost cutting caused all keyboards to be the same layout
