No @daloway ,i didn't flexed it. I don't need to do that stupid thing but I received something that it is not as it was supposed to be.
I was available to pay you more for all, the items are the most important for me, I'm not interested in the money then, neither now!, I can send you back the money again and again, what are you not understanding? I was only interested in the items that seemed the perfect opportunity to finish my Reamiga in the best way, don't try to put the guiltily on me. Only I hope that the keyboard will work when I assemble the Amiga but I didn't received a new box with a new keyboard, that's the fact and this is my negative feedback. Man, I was available to you for anything you needed, I sent you my telephone number too in the messages, I was available to you for everything and now I'm disappointed. I'm only interested to know why you didn't protected the box in the right way or why you were delaying again and again your communications. All you did seems weird, all is in our PMs, I repeat, Admins can read my messages from days ago, they are aware of all.

Yes it shows, not in the same way as the photo but it shows, give me a way to send you the video and you can take a look, site doesn't allow to push the video probably due to the size limit

I was curious - zoomed into the picture, drew lines from point to point using the corners of the metal keyboard backplate as start and end reference points ...

Definite warping visible. Even allowing for the perspective, this dip should not be possible if the keyboard backplate was straight to begin with.

Look at the package prior to being put on the table for opening. It looks intact, square in nature and not crushed on any of the corners. Even during the unwrapping, the Amiga box looks to be visually okay.

There seems to be no way the keyboard could be bent in transit without residual and very apparent damage to the package on the whole. If you look inside the box prior to the keyboard removal ...
see the internal carboard Amiga supports? If it was a transit issue then they too would be crushed in the same direction as the keyboard. There is no such visible damage to them.

You are right. I should measure everything before selling. I will also remember about lens distortion, perspective and fact that these are NOS keyboards made 20 year ago. I already made refund so I assume this case is closed. This is very harsh lesson for me as I didn't want to cheat anyone. I'm really sorry @Main. Please send everything back and try to pack it safely. So we could make second episode after keyboard and box comes back to my place. Regarding other unfounded accusations you made and as a proof that I don't cheat anyone, I decided to make donation to Amibay in the same amount as you paid.

But, I'm thinking that we are not talking the same language or you are not understand me @daloway. @Sardine @Watson, are you understanding from my messages that I want a refund sending back the package? I didn't say that in any moment, but may be I'm not explain me correctly, I'm prety sure that I've already said the same in previous messages but I'll do it again to avoid missunderstanding:

- The items are more important to me than the money,
- I'm not going to send back the items,
- I'm going to test the keyboard when I will assemble my ReAmiga (as soon as possible),
- I want to know the feedback from @Robin21, his comments and pictures (@Robin21 is the buyer of the second pack that you sent him some days ago),
- I'm going to send you back your money that you sent me yesterday without my asking you,

It's clear now? I hope yes,
Finally, this morning I couldn't push the video with good quality because I was in the bus on the way to my job and the only copy that I had was the whasapp copy (41Mbytes),

then now, I'm pushing the original video capture shot 1920x1080 .MOV file recorded in an IPhone14pro (339Mbytes) to have the best quality,

I don't see the same bent keyboard in the video as in the photo ( why wasn't the keyboard if bent that badly shown in the video , even a thumbs up )

also the damage to the box i'm struggling to see in the video ( especially the crushed corner )

what i do agree on is if there was additional money sent for "extra" stronger P&P protection, I only see a small amount of external protection which should have been box inside box etc,. otherwise im struggling to find fault ( damaged box or bent keyboard ) in the video.

Don't you see the plate flexed when I turn back the keyboard? In the 04:23? or in the 04:13 as has been drawn by @Watson?

Can you see the curve on the left side in this picture? Try the video again.
The plate is more bent on the top of the keyboard where the membrane comes out to be connected to the motherboard than in the bottom where my hands are.

Can you see the arrows I've drawn? Can you see this deformed aluminium in the video? Then, there, but on the back plate.

Take a look to this two pictures, can you see the keyboard curved here?



Or here, can you see that it is more curved on the output of the membrane (the top side of the keyboard) than in the bottom side (where my hands are) ?

I don’t disagree with your photos.

Yes i can see where the ribbon comes out on your video the bend.

Like i said in my opinion your video doesn’t show a badly flexed keyboard and you even give a thumbs up. If it was me I would have held the keyboard to the camera to show this but you waited until later to photo.

In the video i don’t see a crushed corner and you don’t highlight this but in your photo you can see the crushed corner.

Either I’m blind or You’re video doesn’t show the damage or something else is going on.

Don’t take offence I’m just being neutral and i genuinely don’t see the same damage in your video vs your photos.

What i do agree on is the external protection was almost nonexistent.

P.S. i won’t be drawing lines on your video/photos I’ll leave that to the moon landing conspiracy theorists and flag shadow issues.

As for the picture I posted previously in the thread, this was a pause and capture from the video @4:14 , not one of @Main pictures. To my eyes I see there's a very slight curve on the bottom of the keyboard and this still looks that way, but this could be a trick of the camera

@Main, as @Sardine pointed out, you give thumps up on the keyboard, why did you not instantly see the very apparent bend that is shown in your pictures?

The one thing we can all agree on here, is that the packaging was pathetic.

@Main you need to test this keyboard ASAP!

I'm sorry but I'm not understanding that from your words. I'm not offended but...

Here, there is not any theory of conspiration, I have not any interest into do that.
This video was taken while I was unboxing, then, immediately after, we shoot the photos when we pay attention to the defects everywhere. With which objective I could do that? I'm not interested in the money and the seller has his money yet. Everyone on this site has money but original Amiga products are less and less every day.
There is not any manipulation, there is not any video edition, I've received the package and the items as you can see in the video AND in the pictures, all are real, and I'm not going to accept any doubt, idea or possibility that I'm cheating in any way (cutting, editing, drawing, flying to the moon) because that's not true.

Summary:

daloway has offered and made a full refund asking for the items to be sent back.

Main has stated he's happy to keep the items and has returned the refund.

I think the main point to note in this debacle is that more packaging would have been the answer but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
