The condition of the A3000 is very good for a computer of it's age. I seriously doubt anyone would find a better condition A3000 anywhere. The battery leakage is nearly zero and negligible. Certainly you will not find perfect factory-showroom condition A3000 anywhere now. Retrobrighting can likely make it worse (patchy/marbling etc) and there are plenty of vids on youtube that show retrobrighting went horribly wrong so is a waste of time unless the case is bright orange. Better to leave it alone and not risk making it worse. I have dozens of Amigas and I only retrobrighted my A1000 because the idiot I got it from kept it in a shed outside for 17 years and it was bright orange (and yes this went slightly patchy too). The others I did not touch. So before you waste time/effort/expense on "cleaning" better to consider if that would add any real "value". Hint: the answer is not.

3000's will not need caps. if the system was used a fair amount over the years and the battery was properly cleaned. The 3000 should be a reliable system. Would recommend the gals get slapped for pals, other than that the 3000 is a real nice computer and my preferred over all the others...

Finding a 3000 that does not have battery damage will be extremely difficult. I only found 1 in all the years I have collected.
