Hi All,
Up for sale, A4000/030 which has been recapped including the CPU board. CPU is 030 clocked at 25mhz with 68882 FPU clocked at 40mhz. It has 16mb Fast Ram installed and Super Buster 11 in socket.
The Amiga has been re-built today as seen in the Photo's and given a thorough test, the board only arrived back from re-capping yesterday.
The Floppy Drive is Chinnon FB357A which I believe is a HD drive although HD functionality was not tested. The drive it's self is working as seen in the Photo's a full install of WB3.1 was done from floppies and some games also played from the FDD. There is a whopping 850mb HDD installed along with a CDROM drive which is also working as seen running Superfrog from CD! Please note no software is included in this sale, demonstrated here for test purposes only.
As you can see there is some yellowing and corrosion on the metal parts of the chassis, this would ideally be treated and painted but I will leave that for the buyer as a project. The machine it's self is not effected operationally, it's purely cosmetic. The yellowing looks worse in some of the photo's due to the flash, it's actually in quite decent shape, overall considering the age a fully working A4000 that just needs some cosmetic TLC.
The Keyboard is included in the sale but there is no Mouse. You will need an Amiga Monitor or cables to hook up to a TV, there is no RF/AV output on the A4000 so you will need an RGB-Scart lead or an RF Modulator (like from an A500) to use a TV. (TV shown is not included in the sale)
Mouse/Joystick/Sound ports tested, not tested the other ports but I see no reason why the wouldn't work. Please note there are no keys for the lock which is disconnected due to being in the 'locked' position.
The battery was removed prior to recapping and some minor leakage cleaned up (first neutralised with spirit vinegar then cleaned with IPA) You can use the Amiga just fine without a battery, it just means the time is not saved anymore. You can fit a coin battery or replace the rechargeable unit, this is something for the buyer of course.
I'm attaching lots of pictures to this thread, it will need a few replies for them all to fit! Again I'd like to stress that it does look a lot better in person the flash really exaggerates the yellowing.
Asking price for this setup is £350 which includes UK delivery, I can discount by £20 if you collect in person. I'm based in Sevenoaks, Kent and would be prepared to meet at an agreed location for the cost of fuel. Oversea's will be quite expensive as I plan to ship in a massive box to ensure safe delivery, you can expect to pay in the region of £400 if you are outside the UK although the final price will depend on your location.
As always I will try to make a nice setup for the buyer, anything else I can find to include such as CD's, useful Software and Peripherals will be included free of charge. I still have quite a bit of stuff to sort through!
Thanks for looking
