Hi all,

1) sorry for my english :p

2) I am looking for the 3,5 " frontblend - for some reasons, Commodore made 2 versions of the Amiga 4000, one with a big floppydrive and a small frontblend (picture small.gif) and one with a small floppydrive and a big frontblend (picture big.gif).

I am looking for the BIG frontblend.

3) I am looking for the internal HDD-holder (between the PSU and the motherboard.

This are the 2 missing parts, for re-casing my Amiga 4000.

Thx!
:)

Hi Heather,

thanks for your replay.
Nice work with that 3D-model... the company, i am working for, does own a 3D-Printer... but... I checked the colour of the resin today... its horrible :-)
You have printed your own blend?
Does somebody else have printed some blends?
How can you life ;) with the fact, that the colour of the printed frontblend is far away from the remaining Amigafront?
:)

I printed the color that I had in the machine at the time. However, you can easily use spray paint that is made for plastic then print the any color then spray it the correct color. I'll be doing that with a couple upcoming projects. :)

What is the correct colour for an Amiga?
:-)
Respectively... what colour (number, company) did you use?

Jo

Unfortunately, I haven't actually done it yet so I don't have an exact color. You could probably take the front of the A4000 to a paint store to have a color match done. :)

Hello Heather,

I have printed your 3D-Model yet... well... it was a bad printer... but... its nice... I am looking for a good 3D-printer yet...

... and, of course, still looking for an original commodore part :)

Good to hear. We have a dual extruder upgrade for our 3D printer that will also allow us to print using Nylon material. Nylon is less prone to shrinking/expanding so it will make more accurate prints. I haven't had time to install the upgrade yet since it replaces not only the extruders but also the whole back panel of the machine since it needs more gears to feed the additional extruder.

Good luck!

Heather
