Amiga 4000 Battery replacement

Hi all

Anyone knows if it's possible to replace the A4000 battery with a rechargable VL2020 type, the same that have the Blizzards boards?

I want to install a battery holder and one of this batteries but I don't really know if could work on an Amiga.

For the amount of current it draws, and the lifespan of a CR2032 why bother?

Although jvdbossc has now closed his thread, it could still give you ideas on what bits you need. I fitted two of these kits to my miggys, one to an Apollo board and the other to my 500+. Working perfectly

I known the CR2032 hack and have here all the necesary to do it, but I'm a bit curious about a rechargable VL2020 as direct replacement.

I am not sure about this, but Amiga Kit may have fitted a different (non leaky) sort of battery to mine. Here have a look at my A4k thread post 76 for pictures. Maybe they could supply you with a similar one?
