yes it's a full metal case 
I weighted just the top weights 2kgs and the bottom with all bezels 2.5 if you add the metal card holder that's 200grs plus the packaging to preserve it you easily reach more than 5kgs with the drive bays holder, add another 400grs alone ... Believe me, I'm scared every time I go to the post office because the guy always says it weights more than what it does at home, using a kitchen scale ... so I end up losing money ... on shipping all the time ...
