I have an Amiga 4000 in need of repair. It just Green screens and just a flickering green at that.
Board was being repaired at Amigakit, but they were unable to find fault.
They recapped both boards. Replaced battery with coin battery holder. Checked voltages and looked for broken traces.
The 3640 processor board needs repairing too as it stays black if installed. Using an old 3630 board and with Diagroms installed the machine boots into diagroms menu.
My 030 board and 4meg fast and 2 meg chip are found and also my BigRam Zorro card is found.
Graphics test pass. Sound test works, but somewhat quiet and 2 channels are very quiet.
Ramtest comes up with 14k fastram being unusable and am unable to do chipram test.
Would be happy if someone would offer to repair my machine. Anyone still repairing Amiga’s please get in touch. I am from UK, but will be willing to send most anywhere for a skilled repair job. Thanks.....
