For sale is this Commodore Amiga 4000

I bought this a few years back mostly as a spare for my own Amiga 4000 but since it came in a perfect case and had no traces or rust or other marks, I went out and searched for a perfect condition front and power bar which I found a few years back. Since it said 040 on the front, I bought a refurbished (new caps) A3640 card for it and also the drive bay covers that matched. Since I was building our house at the time, I had little to no time so I left it all boxed up.

Last week Friday I looked at the machine and decided to put it all together and all worked as I hoped for. So now I have a second mint looking Amiga 4000.

Since I made a vow to stop hoarding, I have decided to let this mint looking machine go.

The machine is an Amiga 4000 with a 040 Front Cover. Label still has that plastic cover on it. Memory wise It comes with 2Mb Chip and 16Mb Fast. I include a nice condition Amiga 4000 keyboard (see images) and a near to new Amiga Mouse (see images). The Amiga 4000 has a buster in socket (currently a version 9, and can be swapped out for an 11 with ease). Kickstart is a 3.0 if not mistaken, the hard drive is a 4GB IDE drive and I believe partitioned as 1GB/1.5GB/1.5GB.. with a base installation of the Workbench.

Battery which started to leak has been removed several years back before it could kill anything in its path of destruction.

When I bought it, the caps have been replaced according to the seller. Observing the caps now I have no reason to doubt that statement (normal, no bulging, shiny contacts, audio and video perfect). Diskdrive is a Chinon FB357A (1.76Mb) and makes the assuring noise of a perfectly working one and all disks I fed it, were accepted without hick-ups.

Machine came with a Macrosystems VLab (incl. floppies) which I include in the sale. If you don’t want it, I take it out and give you a bag of sweets or a Commodore Mouse Mat for it instead.. or both if you say please.

I have for this machine a CD/DVD Drive (IDE) which I can put in as well.. free of charge

Since some want an 030 and others an 040.. I give you the option

Option 1) Amiga 4000 with 040 front + 3630 / 030 CPU Card : £550
Option 2) Amiga 4000 with 040 front + 3640 / 040 CPU Card : £700

Shipping costs are never included and this package, but will be around £25 for most of Europe (Excl. Scandinavia) and around £10 for Germany and The Netherlands.

PayPal is a great method of payment. If you do friends and family, it will be the sales price plus postage as indicated above, if you like additional insurance in case of whatever disputes, then add 3,4% on top of the total sales price.

Rest assure that I use grade A packaging materials and that I hold a black belt in packaging skills such that it will even withstand the handling of the dumbest of all postal workers.

Last but not least.. Please express interest, but do decide within 24 hours if this machine is for you.

I do have a set of original workbench disks which can be included free of charge. It did not come in its original packaging but for books you could check with 'marvin944' here on AmiBay as he has a few crates full of manuals.. he might have those as well.

--edit--

Missed your 240v question.. yes.. EU Model.

great, am also interested in combining this purchase with the 116 and plus 4 stuff if you can pm me with a total

Interested.

Refere to https://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?80342-Nice-A4000D-with-040-CPU
in the wanted section, from before this listing was made, also yesterday. ;)

Are all the capacitors the right way? The printing in white can be the wrong way.. on some 4000Ds.. I don't know how Commodore could mess that up..

Sorry, but Japan is a bit too much of an ordeal for me.. I hope you understand.

Machine worked like a charm for many years.. guess they got that right :-)

Thread cleaned up... If you have an issue please pm a mod or administration or report the post. Please don't resort to bashing a sale thread.

Thanks.
