Amiga 4000T mouse moves only horizontally - suggestions?

Hi!

Yesterday the mouse on my Amiga 4000T started to behave strangely, since it only moves horizontally - no vertical movement. Tried another mouse, same effect
In these days I am often replacing the processor board because I am trying the 68040 to 68060 adapter, I hope I haven't fried any IC with static electricity! Is there some software which can be used for testing chips like CIAs and so on?

No, when the problem started the mouse was not removed

The 4000T works with separate I/O modules, maybe the ports module isn't seated very properly.

I don't know how it could have happened, but I just pulled out and inserted again the flat cable connecting the motherboard to the ports module and the mouse works fine again. Strange because I did not touch it, but I am quite happier now
