Hey all, I'm looking at getting a Gotek drive for my Amiga 500 but I don't want to cut up a case.

What do people recommend?
I wanted to play 5 or 6 games I had back in the day but the cost is starting to add up.

if you can solder well enough look into using ADTWin + the cable guide they have (you need an older computer atleast w/ a LPT port/"Parallel" Port) to use the Amiga's own Drive to write floppies. i HAD an Gotek Drive and was planning to modify my case (as the top half of the case is allreay in poor shape to begin with) but it gave out frying the USB SD Reader i had w/ it. (the controller IC on the reader Bubbled and theres a hole in it.) contacting the site i got my own from waiting for it to arrive in Correos Mail over a month has had no response (i got what i had that failed on me from a user in my local area,)

If you end up reversing the power cable in the Amiga then kiss the unit goodbye so careful if you get one!

Thanks all. I have considered just buying the games but then I'll auto need some RAM expansion for a few of them.
I like the external Gotek cable so might go down that route.

cheers!
