Interested in a 1MB Expansion card, I have a 512KB that came with my A500 recently, but some games demand 1MB. Hopefully there's a trapdoor "slot it in and it works" version if anyone has one.

Thanks. Not sure if Motherboard model matters I have not checked yet.

Edit: Found I need just 512KB expansion, since 500 has onboard and my 512kb expansion doesn't work in either switch position.

Yes, it is not possible to find any expansion that will just connect in the trapdoor and provide more than 512k memory, but as you say you probably just need a plain 512k expansion to get your machine to 1MB in total. For bigger expansions, you either need to use the sidecar connector or open up the Amiga to make additional connections.

Didn't know it was possible to do more than 512k without some extra internal connection, but I don't see any Gary adapters or other connections to that one. It also looks like it is 512k slow + 1.5MB fast, and no chip?

Very much it is possible.

I have a trapdoor expansion (Somewhere), that uses 4x1MB simms, plugs in to the trapdoor.

In its maxed out setting, it can have 1.5MB fast exec, 1.5MB Addmem (a program to add the ram to the system), with wire modifications to the motherboard and Gary adapter to give 1MB of chip.

To cut a long story short, in the trap door, with a Rev 6 512kb motherboard, it gives 4.5MB total via trapdoor, with 1MB chip (With a 1MB Agnus), and 3.5MB fast.

How much can it do without the wire modification and Gary adapter? I know the sky is the limit if you're allowed to open up the Amiga and make other connections.
