Hi everyone, I'd like to introduce myself since I am new here.
So I am a German Amiga 500 nerd. Well when i was a teenager my dad gifted me a C-64 when i was 8 years old. Soon after i managed to annoy him long enough to have him buy the floppy for x-mas (Datasette was sooooo slow).
And when one of my best friends got an Amiga 500 it was clear i also had to get one, so a year later i spent all my childhood savings to buy a used one with the whooping 512KB RAM upgrade (1MB total).
What should i say - i still have that Amiga 500 and even though it looks a bit miserable it still works. OK some floppies kinda lost their data over the past 20 years (Or rather 26ish years?), sometimes they also give "Guru meditation", but still love this machine.
I also just fulfilled an old dream by buying the "useless and overpriced" A570 which was far beyond my budget back in the 1990s. I say "useless" since i never really understood why commodore didn't make the A570 compatible with the A590... :blased:
