Amiga 500 PAL/NTSC Issues

Hi all,
New Amiga owner here, living in NTSC country. I have a 500 rev 6A PAL machine that connects to my big screen TV just fine through the composite out, it's just in black & white which I understand is normal. I want to eventually have a color display so I bought a 520 video adapter that is NTSC. On the AMIGA motherboard I jumped J4 which I understand makes the switch from PAL to NTSC. When I use the 520, I still get B&W on both the RF and the video out. I'm hoping someone here can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Hi!

Has your TV got a scart? if so rgb to scart is the best option..

If there is no scart socket but it has VGA, then an RGB scandoubler would probably be the best way to go.
