Don’t be fooled by a picture. For instance here are 2 pictures of my A500. Which do you think shows its true state?

Don’t be fooled by a picture. For instance here are 2 pictures of my A500. Which do you think shows its true state?

Well.. a 40watt soft tone bulb is the left one.. the right one is the same machine on a cloudy day ;-) .. I get your point, hence asking for pictures shot at daylight.

Nice one by the way.. is it for sale?

Very nice looking.. but as a purist I seek a virgin mint model.. no mods (sorry, my bad for not stating that) as it will be a collectible

The picture on the left was taken with the on camera flash while the other in day light. The left one is closer to the colour of the A500.
I’ve just this week finally acquired an A1500 so the A500 is surplus to my requirements. Why would any one want more than 1 Amiga?

I have not offered it to you because I don’t think it’s exactly what you are looking for. The case as yellowed with age.

Here are a few more pictures. The first 2 show it against the top (yellowed) and bottom (white) of a PSU. If you look close at the third you should be able to see the out line of were the warranty sticker was.

Well.. call me nuts :nuts:, but I am somewhat of a perfectionist and decided on top of that to collect 20 year old computers.. so see the challenge there? :roll:

Well like I said not what you’re looking for. I'm sure the right one is out there you just have to keep looking. You may have to widen your search because as much as I love Amibay it does have a limited user base.

Some nice 500s have been shown here. Have you considered Retr0bright? That could bring any one of these beauties back to as new condition. If your looking for a 500+ as well, you would need to open it up anyways to check the tracks under the battery. I would, if I bought another one, just to be sure.

Well yes I was thinking eBay and there are 2 A500plus up for sale including this buy it now one which the seller claims to have virtually no yellowing.

I checked it out.. Thanks for the tip. But have a look at the color difference between the casing and the a500 batch.. Its yellow alright ;-)

I would not want to take that route as I am too afraid of messing it up. Would buy one that was refurbished like that though. Got an A500+ offer pending outside Amibay. Absolute mint as new also mouse is new. No PSU but have two.

I have 1 of each (yes , lucky me ) but the postage cost should be too much from here.I`ll ask anyway and let you know tomorrow.I already have the A500 for sale over here.

They are also both with German keyboard,manuals etc. if you dont mind.
