Is there any specific software to set up an external HD or CD ROM using the Squirrell interface on an A600 / 1200?

If so can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Hi, yes you should be able to download a copy of the disk online.

However all you actually need is a CD File System and Text File in Devs/Dosdrivers containing some basic info such as the device name, unit no. & file system.

Check Aminet as I'm sure there is a free CD File system on there.

Hi, here are drivers for this external SCSI controller:

http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/squirrel

Yes i found these thanks but when i click on the SCSI install disks the page goes to a whole lot of code or something, so how do you download this?

You need to write back to Disk, I assume you're using Classic Workbench or some other pre installed pack? The former comes with a DMS-Disk application.

I was viewing it on a PC and that's all i got

Isn't there some way of downloading it and making up an Amiga disk?

Right click on the page and just save the page on your PC then just UNDMS it to floppy using Winuae, or if you have a real Amiga, transfer the file to it and have a blank Floppy ready in the drive as it will write automatically to DF0.

Obviously you will need an unpacker on your system, there is one as standard on CWB

Where in the South East are you?

I can make you the floppy if you like?

Or you can bring your Amiga over and we can get it up and running (I'm in Sevenoaks)

Disk posted first class today, I hope it helps :)

Apologies it's taken me a while to get round to doing it...
