Hi all, I have an Amiga 600 main board that has been recapped and is working except for the IDE port. I've been trying to diagnose it for a few weeks or so but recently found the IDE port had some damage and was badly repaired. There were some cross joins on a few of the pins which I have removed only to reveal some exposed copper beneath them.
This would be ideal for someone more skilled than myself at PCB repair; basic soldering is about the limits of my expertise. It would also be great for anyone wanting a miggy to be used without a hard drive. As I say it has been recapped so other than the IDE port, there's no reason to expect it wouldn't be good for another 20+ years, and if you can also fix that, then it should be perfect.
Extent of my time with it is documented in this thread: https://www.amibay.com/threads/whdload-a600-2mb-chip-ram.2441401/page-3#post-2466094
