I'm looking to swap my Amiga A1200 Desktop Dynamite Pack for a comparable Amiga CD32.
About the A1200:
I am looking to trade for an Amiga CD32 which is WHDLoad ready and preferably has a TF expansion. Box is not required but the original controller and the console being in good to very good condition is a must. I want to trade for a CD32 due to space constraints. I use the A1200 purely for gaming and do not have the set up to access the keyboard or use a mouse comfortably so a consolised version of the experience is more preferable to me. Also I don't really use any desktop applications so the system is partially wasted on me.
My new member status comes from the fact that I am new to the Amiga scene (although I owned an A600 as a kid and loved it, it wasn't until a relative discovered this A1200 in her loft that I could afford to get back into it). However I can be found across the web as PocketTim on the RMC Discord, Amiga Addict Discord and other places if needed).
Looking at the prices of a kitted out Amiga CD32, I don't know 100% if this qualifies as a fair trade as I think they are worth more than the 1200 I have, however the condition of the 1200 may help it carry more weight so hopefully if anyone is interested we can work something out.
I am based in Somerset in the UK.
About the A1200:
- Very good condition, no yellowing, has not been retrobrighted. This Amiga was a loft find and it shows. It came from a family member who bought it to replace an A500 back in the day but then they never went on to use the A1200 for more than a few months so it's almost in new condition. They forgot they had it until 4 months ago. So it's been in that loft for about 20+ years.
- Fitted with 8MB of Fast RAM (sourced from AmigaKit so has the optional 40mhz FPU socket (not populated)).
- Fitted with CF adapter.
- Original and tested PSU.
- RGB SCART Cable.
- Original Mouse in very good condition.
- Floppy drive is not in the machine as it no longer works, but is included.
- Desktop Dynamite pack is complete with all software and manuals.
- Box is in rough condition but still holds together.
- Unfortunately it has not been recapped, I was the first person to break the warranty seal. No sign of leakage internally but will need doing I just never got around to it due to time constraints.
