Hi to everyone,
I have a problem making me nuts. So I have an A1200 (Motherboard Rev. 1B1 (if i remember well - can check it when I will be at home) with Blizzard IV 1230 with FPU and I took 4 GB CF card, installed OS 3.9 on it, everything went fine until I updated with BB2 then at every soft or hard reset i have a Guru Meditation - sometimes after a few gurus the computer boots onto OS 3.9 sometimes it's a loop of gurus and restarts. OS 3.9 and BB1 no problem, only BB2 is doing a mess. Any help please, before I tear all my left hair out :)
PS Guru is 1000008 task 7800c998 - if it could help. It's seems to be an audio device error ???

Hi, i had a problem with the stability of my 1200 due to some of my bb2 updates being accidentally deleted. The solution was to re-install bb2.

Sounds like you may have some files missing. I expect your first requirement is to put up your

S:startup-sequence
S:user-startup

for people to have a look at these. They can be assessed via typing

ed S:startup-sequence

in a cli/shell box, then saving as a text file on notepad ------->cf, and copying and pasting over here.

I stopped my OS3.9 on bb2 as i wasn't convinced of the stability of updates after that.

I had the same problem with a Blizzard 1260 that was somehow incompatible with the BB2 ROM Update.

I had a similar problem and people helped me find a solution here:

https://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?t=26955

Maybe the same solution could work for you?

If you have lines like these, comment them all with commas:
Code:
;Start OS3.9 Checks
;IF EXISTS C:SquirrelSCSI
; C:SquirrelSCSI
;EndIF
;Set SCSIUpdate 1
;IF EXISTS C:IDEFix
; C:IDEFix
; Set SCSIUpdate 0
;EndIF
;IF EXISTS SYS:Expansion/XSurfIDE
; Set SCSIUpdate 0
;EndIF
;IF EXISTS SYS:Prefs/Env-Archive/NOSCSIUPDATE
; Set SCSIUpdate 0
;EndIf
;IF $SCSIUpdate EQ 1
; C:SetPatch SKIPROMMODULES "scsi.device" QUIET
;ELSE
; C:SetPatch SKIPROMMODULES "scsi.device" QUIET
;EndIF
;Unset SCSIUpdate
;End OS3.9 Checks

Then put this line under them.
Code:
C:SetPatch NOROMUPDATE QUIET

Ok I will try it tomorrow to install BB2 and change startup sequence. I will also post the bb1 and bb2 startup and user sequences. Now I booted copying startup.sequence.bb1 over startup.sequence and new romupdate.bb1 over romupdate. But I encountred another problem. I installed the OS3.9 CD drivers all works fine but not without the cd connected :D without it the system become slugish and unstable and have apart of scsc.device not found a problem related to intuition :censored:  Gosh I don't want to think what it will be with installation of the network card .
