I was wondering on the Rapid Road USB if I can use a PC USB external floppy drive and if it would recognize it as DF1:, 2: or 3:. And is there anything I would have to do to have recognize it or set it up to use it.

Also is there a list of devices that can be used on the Rapid Road USB?. and how to set them up to make them work. I got the USB CD Rom and mouse working so far..

Good question! I’ll give a usb floppy drive a try tonight and report back.

do a search for Poseidon compatible devices as that’s the usb stack that rapid road uses. There’s a list on A1K

Why it should recognize it as a DFx drive? PC drives work differently than Amigas, therefore bigger chances to recognize it as PC0: for example to read PC-DOS formatted disks (from DOSDrivers). Other than that, Rapid Road USB uses the Trident USB stack, so you can read the manual for more information.

If you have cross Dos probably it will see as a 720kb Dos Disk (if the USB stack have the driver for a Disk Drive)
