This is a new module I designed specifically for the Amiga. My initial plan was to make a simple adapter board and use one of the commonly available GSM modules based on the popular SIM800 chip, but they all lack certain features and the end result wouldn't have looked very nice so I ended up making my own custom board
The Amiphone module is very compact, it plugs directly into the serial port without any adapters or cables, it's essentially plug and play. It's powered from the Micro USB port so you can use a standard 5V USB power supply, for example a phone charger.

It comes with a small removable antenna, in my area I'm getting good reception (3/4 bars) indoors but the antenna can be unscrewed and replaced if needed. The connector is a standard female SMA.
To make calls you just need a standard headset with a 3.5mm jack (combined audio + microphone) commonly called a TRRS plug
Picture for reference:
(CTIA pinout - LEFT/RIGHT/GROUND/MICROPHONE)
Most headsets with this plug are compatible, but if you have an headset with the slightly different OMTP pinout (ground and mic swapped) you can still use it with an adapter. If you know you have one of these headsets I can also swap the connections for you directly on the board before shipping it so you don't have to buy a CTIA to OMTP adapter separately.
(You can also easily do this yourself if you can solder, there are 2 pads on the bottom side of the board reserved for this purpose)
Note that the SIM card holder takes a Micro SIM, to use a Nano SIM you need one of those cheap adapters to make the card slightly larger so it fits in the slot properly

I'll also provide the software I made for this board - Some screenshots:

The software currently requires Kickstart 2.04 or higher but I'm working on a few changes to also make it compatible with Kickstart 1.3 and 1.2
It now also works with Kickstart 1.2/1.3
I will provide future software updates in case I add more features or make improvements
Price: 60€ + shipping
