i bought a cd32 from these guys coz i saw they had a good feedback so i thought i would be safe and thats where my troubles begins

i received the cd32 fine it looked in pristine condition but when i tred to play a cd on it things really went downhill

so without messing around i took it to the best place for testing this shall we say "problem" which happens to be zetr0 who has been a good personal friend of mine for years

we sit it next to another cd32 and the cdrom problem becomes apparent immediatley when everything works fine on the one next to it but not on mine

so telling anal logic they ask me to RMA it which to post back is £9 ouchies

got message last nite saying there is nothing wrong with it hmmm yeah right so i explained what was wrong what games were used and that it was tested alongside another one and it was was clearly knackered

now that stupid gets are wanting a list of games i tried on it and are arguing there aint nowt wrong with it

so if anyone is thinking of getting owt from these muppets i would think again they are complete idiots and should be avoided like the plague :thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

there were many colourfull words i wanted to use but am so wound up i mighta got carried away and bleeped the entire rant

let it out brother..... let it out....

use your anger...... =)

I cannot believe they are trying the "well it works here" when it didn't load crap at mine - I think only one of AtariJay's Orignal games worked and that was intermittent..

next time listen to your Zetr0 and don't give that company any benefit of the doubt!

At this point I would contact Paypal m8, they have had their chance and charged you more money, tell paypal everything and let them sort it out - I would take the opportunity to inform Analogic of what you intend to do as they are calling you a liar.

In the spirit of good will and niceness - I suggest we "Load up and Commence Firing!"

sounds good to me buddy they are really begining to piss me off

i'm off out in a mo so i will scream at them later

hey, if you need help...

I am there to not only hold the megaphone... but to juice it up to some serious ampage!

Was considering ordering from these, but you've just put me right off!!! So at least you can rest in the knowledge that your are getting your own back!

Gah Yorkie4. That's pretty bloody sad tbh. Good word usage too.

Anal-Logic.

Good to see you round too m8y.

Kin

*edit* Could you buy another from them under someone elses name, check it's working & then return the naff one as an unwanted gift? Even if they charge a re-stock fee, it's better than ziltch. ;)

As a newbie I have never heard of them but now I have I too shall join the boycott!!!!!!!!!! Go on have a good scream as it always helps. I often resort to John Cleese tactics and hit my computer (but not the Amiga) with a big stick, doesn't fix anything but does look good infront of the family?:p

Oi! If someone needs to get up on a soap box about buyers rights let it be me, your time is too valuable and you have an a4k boot partition to fix!

:P

These guys still advertise Amiga upgrades, when I first came back to the scene about 18 months ago I ordered a 8mb Upgrade for my A1200 from their website.

I didn't hear anything back so after a few days I emailed them... No reply.

So after a few more days I phoned them and they told me they hadn't stocked those for 'years' and they hadn't taken any payment from me.

Thats fine, but they could have sent me a little email to tell me that!!!

I was looking at their CD32+Floppy drive package on ebay but me previous experience stopped me going ahead.

Steve.

UPDATE

they are no longer replying to my emails so i have opened the case with ebay lets hope they sort this crap out :(:thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

I've used them several times and never had a problem. Hope you have better luck with Paypal/eBay refund procedure... :|

I find the people from Analogic to be very rude and I really don't trust them at all. I've asked them questions in the past regarding some of their Amiga stuff and i usually end up receiving rude, half-arsed or just cocky/sarcastic answers . There customer service absolutely sucks.

Personally, I would just open a PayPal dispute. I've only ever disputed using eBay once, and they were completely ineffectual. Now if there's a problem, I go straight to PayPal, that always gets the sellers attention, and you have a much greater success rate.

Well, if it makes you feel any better similar happened to me the other day. New item, faulty... seller said it's normal and to use it another way! Err isn't it supposed to work both ways.. :| So it's cost 8.65 to send the fecker back... not sure if I'll see that. Sigh.
