Hi,
My 600XL will freeze 5 min after power up pointing most probably to a chip overheat. Leaving it turned on will then give a garbled screen with colored text in graphic 1/2 mode.
Most probably the faulty one may be the ANTIC video chip. Do someone have spares of both ANTIC and GTIA at a decent price? I am located in Europe and this is for a PAL 600XL.
edit : I have troubleshooted the problem with freezing spray and spraying it on the ANTIC will run the 600xl longer before a crash. I have tested also the CPU and no time delay so I would definitely consider the Antic as faulty.
