So since finding an EGA card has proven somewhat harder than expected...

Now looking for literally any VGA card that will work in an 8-bit ISA slot. If you're not sure then list what you've got and I can do the research myself.

As cheap as possible is the priority here, I don't care about performance since it's going to be in an XT class machine :)

I got a Trident TVGA8900CL ISA VGA card. Last I checked they can be set to 8-bit mode.
Would that work?
Thanks for offering -- that would absolutely work but it might not be worth sending overseas; I'm in Sweden. Depending on how much you want for it I might be interested :)

Lowest cost shipping (USPS First Class International) is $23.50 USD :(
Would $30 USD total be okay?

I'd try to make it worth your while though. It's got 1MB of memory. I could put a bunch of drivers on a floppy diskette for you. (720KB or 1.44MB?)
I did modify the output filtering to have a proper setup, so the picture is a little sharper than usual for Trident ISA cards. I also replaced the electrolytic capacitors (Wurth Elektronik and Kemet) and replaced some resistors with higher quality metal-film types.

Thanks for the generous offer, but I found a suitable card locally, so I'll close the thread. :)
