I was enjoying the Excalibur spin off - shame that was cut, Galen the techno-mage was my favourite!

Now why doesn't Galen being your favourite character that surprise me Zetr0? He was my favourite too ;)

I voted for The Original Series
I recently picked up the Blu-Ray set for The Original Series because Amazon had it for a good price as their Deal of the Day. I know some people were upset that the original music was not the same and they didn't like the re-worked special effects, but I think they did an amazing job modernizing the original series. The people who worked on the remastering did everything they could to stick with the vision of the original producers and succeeded brilliantly!

Universe was pants.
That's your opinion I grant you, but I thought it was great stuff. It was a tragedy that they cancelled it just as we were going to find out what was going on. SG1 and Atlantis were both better but it Universe was still cracking scifi in my opinion.

Plus, Universe had hit its stride just before the cancellation was announced. Many series have rocky beginnings, just like Universe.

First I have to recommend Voyager as one of the Trek shows to watch. It's the show that got my wife hooked. We also loved Enterprise, so sad when it was canceled.

Speaking of sad cancelations, SG Universe was a great show. I have always had a little hope that it would return this year, as that would fit the storyline - would be awesome.

But if you are eager for more SG U. There is a fan project that has talen up the task of finishing the last season. You can find it online. Only read the first episode (it's written in manuscript form), but it is pretty good.

But wouldn't Trek Wars Gate = Babylon 5? ;)

Regarding SG Universe. That was the biggest lost opportunity ever. Brilliant Cast. Great concept, great sets and ship design, and so much promise with a huge ship to explore and unlock hidden technology and secrets, plus countless planets to explore.

And what did they do with the show? Hardly anything. It's pace was slower than paint drying... so slow at times it became tedious and boring. They spent the majority of it sat within the same known areas of the ship doing hardly anything and focusing on personal historic issues. I wish US Sci-Fi would stop killing shows by forgetting about the sci-fi setting, environment, uniqueness etc... and concentrating too much on trying to prove moral stories about humanity every week.

Look at other shows and how fast paced they are. Look at how much Game of Thrones has achieved in 3 seasons. In fact just look at season 1. Universe didn't even have a story that evolved more than the first episode of GoT. But then GoT is based on some brilliant novels, whereas SG did end up with 3 rubbish writers. It was much better when they had different writers injecting new ideas into the shows every episode. That is what kept Star Trek series (all of them) interesting and fast paced.

Wow! I am still shaken by a dream i had last night, that was very similar to Star Trek Voyager "Year of Hell" episodes. And surprisingly it turned into a lucid dream when several odd elements appeared (very young Captain Janeway, a small kitty who bite my hand, etc). Live night Star Trek show inside my brain until the morning.

First thing I'd do in that lucid dream is go and let Seven assimilate me :D

Hi Trekkies!!

I'm a fan of the original series and TNG.

Deep space Nine, It is very boring for me and
Enterprise the best thing is... T'POL!!!! :D

I wish you all a long and prosperous life...

Trekkies

Trekkies

Add me too seems like I have been watching it all my life Ohh Hold on I have

I recently went through the complete Voyager box set, I actually enjoyed it. I've started on Next Generation now but so far it's not interesting me as much as Voyager. I like to watch Kirk but only cause it makes me laugh at how bad some of it was. Not tried the the newer Enterprise and have a seen a little of DS9 on tv but seemed to be a lot ferrengi from what I saw and didn't peak my interest

Do you know that Jean-Luc Picard has an artifical heart?

Today, in France, a real artificial heart has been installed in the chest of a real patient.
