Thanks! I saw this, in my understanding this still is games oriented. A bit comparable what we Amigans have with the ready made WHDLoad packs. I am actually looking for a more "productive setup", let's say something like a ClassicWB/Amikit (Real).

Well I went ahead and ticked a retro bucket-list entry by finally buying an X68000!

It’s fantastic. 4mb ram, Scsi2sd full of games, hooked up through the hifi. I just need to find a midi card now.

Nice get! Having most of my stuff in storage, I haven't used mine nearly enough, but one day... :)

Bought an X68000 Pro few months ago, but it didn't come with keyboard which is essential if you want to use HDD. I could buy a keyboard or PS/2 adapter from Japan, but does anyone make those adapters in Europe?

Mine is fully setup now as well. 6 MB in total. Created my own SD compilation from all the images I could find.

I have both the keyboard and mouse adapter from Japan, they work fine. Most keyboards I saw on Yahoo look very used... :)

And like Trixster, considering Midi.

As I also said on EAB I do think Sharp is a great machine with a couple of awesome games (Geograph Seal and Die Bahnwelt are some of my favorites), but the Amiga is the better overall machine IMO, with a much more polished complete feel.

I've now got the new midiori mid card installed in my X68K, connected to an mT-32. Castlevania sounds absolutely incredible! :O

Cool, received one as well, I still have to install it. Will first run it into my PC with an MT32 emulator (received the USB midi adapter yesterday), before I go hunting down these Roland machines. Does midiori work out of the box or do I need to configure stuff in switch.x?

Worked out of the box for me. Games seemed detect it automatically. Didn't have to touch switch.x

Bit of a thread bump.

at the end of last year I was lucky enough to obtain a pristine XVI

here are my two beauties:

It seem more expensive to buy X68000 Sharp than Neo Geo AES console !!
