To be honest, am not interested in anything from the Vampire community these days - especially something what just looks like a rip-off A600 (even the case logo looks overboard in size). Nothing about this excites me enough to reach for my credit card, even if the first run is limited to only 40 units.

I prefer to wait for the new RGL 'THE A1200' that's scheduled to arrive in 2026.

Good find though @Amiga Forever ..!

I seem like Dual slot where you put hard drive or SD Card at side is really cool as you dont have open A6000 case anymore!

Interesting. What are the specific big issues on Vampire that potential buyers should be aware of?

And why not this FPGA solution and yes to RGL A1200 software on ARM CPU solution? Because of the looks? :-)

I have a Vampire V2 in an Amiga 1200. No issues, blazing fast but overpriced to be honest.

999 euro for the A6000 is too big for my wallet.

it should be £499 and it would sell more but it is special edition hence why cost more.

So yeah it is overpriced.

@YouKnowWho My vampire days are long over with. The fpga/arm CPU saga is of no interest to me either - don't care which is used, just so long as it works.

Biggest sticking points of this a6000 for me is both the excessive price but also blatantly ripping off the a600 case design.

To me Team Apollo are just Jumping on the bandwagon. I doubt this will be available in the long term, only as a niche item.

Why does the box have a unicorn on it? it makes it look a bit tacky or childish?
Because Unicorn is the code name, like IceDrake, FireBird, Salamander, Phoenix, MantiCore, StandAlone.

I like it and have pre-ordered it; I have several other Vimpire as well.

Because the codename is "unicorn". ;-) (ah, already explained)

They only made 40 pieces which were sold out immediatley...

So, is there another batch coming?????????
