Yeah thats true but would be nice for guys to know who has been upgrading these boards and what the success rate is what versions of bios work with what chips and so on. Then we can make up our minds as to which guy to use or maybe do it ourselves.
Ahh just read the rest of roys messsges sorry roy but more and more of these mach 130's have been converted but ur are sort of right as some of the cards even with a mach 131 Have failed to run. Hence why if we can get guys with converted cards to send us pictures and mach versions plus who did it for them maybe we can put this to bed of course Jens could do that but thats a whole other story I dont want to get stuck in.

by bios you mean firmware? thats on the eprom/eeprom/maskrom(bootrom,which is mostly version 5.60 for a 1260(anything earlier is 1240 only as far as i know)) the only important thing is whats on the mach131/130.(programming of the gates)as the rest of the card is the same apart from the firmware on the eprom/bootrom and a regulator board
the 1260 is based on a 1240.
so the both shouldn't be confused with each other.
