All caps successfully replace on all three boards. Computer boots, chimes and runs wonderfully. idk much about the memory management, color choices, etc. but I figured out most of what I needed. The next step is to locate some software. I have floppies, but need to know if there is a tutorial on how to format and transfer data from windows? :S

Do you have the network card? If so you must find a translator for base2 (Coaxial Ethernet) to base10 (twisted pair Ethernet). Normally an ancient network hub do this, but you must know the address of your router and then use a fixed IP for the Mac.

From there you can install Samba on the pc to make it share a directory of your choice to transfer things to and from the Mac using FTP, Netscape navigator or the archive manager of the Mac.

BTW: it's about time to upgrade the memory using a couple of 4Mb 30Mb SIMM. The VRAM SIMM can be upgraded to 512kb instead of the ridiculous 256kb it probably have built-in.

But beware that I'm on a search for one unit since last year and found only in USA, but there the postage to Brazil is an absurd US50.00 (postage alone!).

Another possibility is grabbing the HD, hooking in the pc via a PCI SCSI controller and firing up Basilisk with the same settings of your LC (might be good to emulate the LC II to speed up transfers). Remember to share a directory of the pc for the transfers. Pretty much the same thing we do with WinUAE. :-)

The info helps a lot. I was looking at prices on an Ethernet card but rent is soon approaching. I also do not have an appropriate cable to hook up the HDD in my PC (SATA only), but I do have a parallel port and a serial port, both of which I retrofit into the damn thing (drivers were a *****). I do have my own 24 port switch (seeking my CCNA) which may allow for Base2 to Base10 conversion, but it is not something I have looked into yet.

As for memory upgrades, I looked at these as well. I can get a pair of SIMMs at the same price of a VRAM module, but again, each is more than I paid for the LC originally. :p

Once I find a new job (hopefully a career) I will upgrade the crap out of it! Currently stuck at a dead end job.
