Hi,

When using this technique on old dubious disks is there a best way of doing things. I’m thinking like try a couple of disks I don’t care about first just to make sure everything is sorted. Does the initial temperature of the disks make any difference to the success rate of recovering/copying them?

i only have a set number of disks to copy and I have no idea if they are readable. They’ve been in the loft or house for many years.

thanks

Replied in PM with payment details for your interest.

Usually I would think that room temperature is the best. Successrate usually depends how disks were stored. If they have been in stable temperatures and not exposed to sun, then they usually have pretty good successrates.
