My fellow AmiBayers :)

I purchased today the Nexus 7 3G 32GB (at very good price :)) as a substitute for my old Galaxy P1000.... Tomorrow or Monday will be at home.

If one of yours have a Nexus 3G can post here some comments about your experience with this Pad/Phone?

Thanks in advance

I will post later my own opinion...... :)

One word, AWESOME

I was using a Nexus 7 before we got a Nexus 10. The 7 certainly did a lot better while charging through USB than the 10.

I'd only recommend one over other tablets. Its very nice to have a clean android running. They run well considering its a low end computer.

Great for media and things.

Haven't tried emulating an amiga on it or playing games because its a work machine.

i have the 7 32g version and it ist great for emulation and videos/music on the go

or for streaming videos at home in bed

I've got the none 3G version of the Nexus 7 since just after launch and it is great. Since owning one I find myself using it instead of the main computer for a lot of things, such as checking forums, reading emails, watching youtube videos, reading the news and surfing the web. Really fast and smooth to use with the clean Android without all the rubbish other makers bolt on top.

You forgot to mention all the full speed emulators, :). Plus custom kernels, to extend the battery life and performance.
PUAE is cool to on it, Mouse emu sucks, but for playing joystick games its great.

Thanks for your comments my friends....

I can't wait to put my hands on it :)

I love my 7, I only really use mine as a Kindle and browser but for $200 you can't really go wrong :)

I think is a nice mini-tablet for my purposes..... mainly GPS Car Navigation, email & music.

To see movies, play games, read books and office work I have the Infinity TF700T with keyboard/dock.....

As I need to travel a lot by car and plane, I think the two will form a perfect combination. :)

exactly the same here. my only slight complaint is that leaving bluetooth on seems to drain the battery quickly even when the tablet is dormant.

I never leave Bluetooth on. Only activate it when I need to use it... which is hardly ever as I mostly just do everything via Wi-Fi. The 4.2 update really improved battery lofe for me. Before even when sitting not being used it would drain, whereas since the update the battery hardly drains at all when the screen is off.

Hi again,

Finally the little baby comes yesterday at home :)

First impresion is very good... fast, smooth and screen is very clear.

Wifi connects & works great. Also the transfer rate Nexus<=>PC is really high.

I'm just installing some apps and tomorrow I want to test it with Sygic GPS Navigation. :)

hmm i want one now :D since it uses a tegra chip is there any mods that can be done to it? like emulation or custom roms

Some test yesterday, specially the GPS and it works superb with my Sygic

In my opinion is a very good device and not expensive.

@pheonixace

As many Android devices is possible to install custom ROMs (Google is your friend) but I like the stock one.
