Atari 520STFM (Spares or Repairs)

Floppy Drive makes a sound likes it's chewing nuts n bolts but stops to admire the OS screen (or W/E you want to call it) when it appears.

mouse seems broken because it moves whenever it feels like, not when you direct it and there's a key missing from the keyboard.

it's dirty, ugly and old but apart from that it's a real beauty.

But, the clear plastic is still covering the badge

the only thing i know about it is that the PSU is 220-240v and it's built in, and there's a sticker on the side that says 25.03.88, other than that i have no idea, the only reason i bought it back in 2006 was i wanted to see if it could play a game called Ballblazer that i used to play back in the mid 80's on a 130XE but I never got around to it, I decided to fire it up last night and found it's a bit worse for wear.

What you see is what you get and It's all yours for £25 ovno + postage.

although tbh, anything less than that and i might as well bin it rather than pack it.

Collection from Fulham is welcomed, i will even throw in all the floppies that came with it if you do.

I will even consider breaking this one up if enough people show enough interest in the various parts. :hammer:

hello Gforce !
does it came with connectors (power, TV, ... )
is the floppy drive built-in ?

how much is the shipping to Lebanon ?
Do you accept something other than paypal ?

hello hace74,

the power cable is a standard 3 point kettle type cable.
the floppy is built in but like i mentioned it makes a lot of noise so it's a non working drive.

Postage will be more than the value of the unit itself at £112 !!!

but it does weigh in at 5kg, feel free to calculate it for yourself here ---> http://www.postoffice.co.uk/price-finder

more importantly this is a 240v PSU so not sure what voltage you use there.

thanks for looking

Thanks Gforce for your reply.
Indeed the shipping cost is too high for this almost working machine. :wooha:
Better travel by plane and pick the item :D
(the 240 volts is not a problem.)

thanks for pointing that site out guys, international postage is a little new to me as i mainly stick to the UK.

and it turns out that FedEx World Economy is actually only £54, which i see as a massive reduction

@hace74, i replied to to comment you made on my profile ;)
