Now sold to jashod

I have for sale a nice Atari 800 Bundle

Included are the following items:

Atari 800 - Fully tested and working with 48K Ram expansion, the unit is a little yellowed and also the metal shield under the cartridge flap has come loose, but it will be a very easy fix to stick back with double sided tape.

Atari 810 Floppy Drive
- Yellowed as well, I have not tested this as I do not have any disks to try, but it powers UP just fine, so I expect it to be fully working.

Atari 850 Interface (No power supply)
- Again, untested. Is also a little yellowed.

Atari Word Processor - Floppy version, untested, but fully boxed with manuals.

I have too many pictures to post here on this posting, so I have shard them on my OneDrive account.

Click here to see the pictures...

Asking £180 for the lot, I will ship to anywhere and will quite a price on request.

Just out of curiosity what is the postage to Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. Postcode EN8 8NF. Hope you don't mind me asking.

I don't think that postage will be more than £8 to a UK address using My Hermes.

As this thread seems to forcing people to break the rules I thought I had better remind you of them :double

Buying an item without a stated asking price:
If a seller has not stated a price for an item, you cannot declare interest in it or make an offer for it. Report the thread to a moderator.

Asking for splits:
Sellers are not to be asked to split a lot.

Don't say you haven't been told.

Another quick question, why was the drive not tested when you do have a floppy to test with, the Word Processor. Just asking before I think about buying this lot.

Just me being lazy! I will test the drive asap and let you know

He means the members here who keep breaking the rules asking for just parts of / split of your sale and should know better, you my friend have done nothing wrong.

OK thanks Sardine, I notice that part of my original post was snipped, sorry if I broke any rules, I didn't mean to, I didn't realise that stating that I may split the lot in the future was a rule break, my error sorry :(

not so much a rule breaker (splits must have individual prices) its the fact as in this case declaring that you "May Split" can cause a free for all and incite members to break the rules trying to get 1st "dibs" on parts you MIGHT sell.

its just best you dont offer splits until you change your mind. then the in line queue system then comes into place, if you receive any PM's asking for splits then either ignore or report the post to the staff as thats also against the rules.

thanks and good luck with that nice setup you have.

Sorry if I came accross a bit rude earlier asking if the drive had been tested. But if the drive is tested and working then i'll buy the setup. I'll keep an eye on the thread and see what occurs.

No problem, I didn't think you were rude :) I'll test it this evening and let you know.

Right, just been up and done some testing. The drive works! It is very noisy, but from what I read on the web that is normal. I managed to load up the master Disk for the Word Processor just fine. I did it a few times just to make sure. If you want to see a vid of me doing it just let me know.

The only slight thing I noticed was that the power supply needs to be pushed in hard to the socket of the 800 or the power goes off, but I have 2 800's and they both do the same, I just think it's a quirk of the system, but once it's in it works fine with no problems.

Okay all seems like it works then. Yeah the drives are noisy, these and Commodore 1541 drives are well known for being noisy. The power supply thing I can't remember from the one I had in the past. But if all seems to be working fine then i'll PM you for Paypal details and buy the set-up. Find out postage details please to Cheshunt, EN8 8NF and we'll go from there. Also declaring interest and sending PM.

System received and all seems okay. Not had a chance to play around with it yet as have been away a few days but was very well packaged and all bubblewrapped. Would recommend as a seller. Really pleased.

All feedback left closing the thread thanks guys..
