None. I do have an address in Vancouver but I'm a bit restricted in what I can do from here.

From what I've been pointed too and found it looks like he used the money that I paid him to pay back other people.

Lesson learnt.

The annoying thing is that I paid for paypal protection but of course it takes more than 45 days sometimes for things to arrive from some countries. So by the time I lodged the dispute it was to late to get a refund from them. However paypal have now changed the length of time your allowed to lodge the claim :picard

Bad news my friend

Regarding PayPal, I always open a dispute one day after the deadline day, obviously if I not receive the item bought, so I gain the PayPal protection, if the item arrive, said, 10 days later, no prob, the dispute will be canceled and all will be OK for buyer and seller but if the item didn´t arrive I can upscale the dispute to a complaint and PayPal will refund my money.

As you said, lesson learn :-(

Regards and good luck

About Myretroworld, I have received an email from his wife. She says he has been (and still is) very sick. At hospitals abroad. I hope he will recover soon. She is trying to finish his unfinished transactions (that was she told me).

Similar story here. Paid 250 GBP, only received excuse after excuse and then there was just silence. Contacted moderators and PayPal without success. Finally his wife replied to my e-mails (after I found out their private address) and weeks later I got my money back (in two portions). If he´s really sick, I feel sorry for him, but all the excuses in the beginning and similar stories from other members make you suspicious. Hope he shows up one day to clarify.

I did a quick search for TheRogue aka Conrad.Russo and you can see that his gmail account, youtube account, google+ account, facebook account and several others were active less than 3 weeks ago.

No posts on any retro forums since July 2013. One post on his facebook page in January 2014

He has aliases of chymira182 & The-Collection-Computer-Museum.

There is a telephone number for him on his facebook page.

From the RCMP website:

If you live outside Canada
, please contact your local police service and ask them to make a request for assistance from the appropriate Canadian law enforcement agency.

And I really would suggest you do - there are laws against this sort of thing for a reason. He'll only do it again to someone else.

Sorry to bring up this old thread, but i remember when i had made a Bank Transfer for $745 for a CT60/NetUSBee to some jerk in Poland. I was foolish enough to do a Bank Transfer without any security and it cost me an extra $45 to make the Bank Transfer. Anyhow the jerk never sent me anything, it was weeks and weeks, and the crazy thing is he kept in contact with me threw out the time swearing he had sent the package! then at the end he came up with that the package was stolen at the courier department. What a jerk and i was ripped off $745. So i deeply and strongly encourage you guys please don't do BANK TRANSFER's no matter how tempting the product is and also how nice the seller is!!!! i can not emphasize this enough! DO all your transactions via PAY-PAL with security, it will protect you! money is hard to make and doesn't grow on trees!! PROTECT YOURSELF's Guys!!

When You did payment? There are many people around the world stealing money from good guys. If You have aby details about seller, we can do some research about him and try to find out who he is and If he is known in polish retro community.

Like Myretroworld....never shown up again here, and no items and no money back :(

he is known in polish forums.
