I have an Atari STF and want to connect to a TV.Also I have a Commodore 1084S monitor.Where can I find cables?:)

I'd only recommend the TV for games (320 x 200), 640 pixels usually don't marry well with regular TV tubes.

Other than that, the main problem is SCART accepts only composite sync (CSYNC) while the STF provides separate HSYNC and VSYNC, so you'll need some active logic to combine them. See this page by video guru Ian Stedman for ideas.

For the 1084S things are better:
If you have the original older model with the 6-pin DIN connector, they accept HSYNC and VSYNC so it's a 1:1 pairing. See here.
There exists a 1084 model with SCART input as well, but AFAIK those only came in mono so it can't be the one you have.
For the newer 1084S with 9-pin inputs, I think the Philips variants can accept either HSYNC/VSYNC or CSYNC while the Daewoo variants only accepts CSYNC, see the pinouts.

Suitable 13-pin DIN male connectors to craft the cables are easily found on ebay.
Same probably for 6-pin 1084 ones if you don't want to mutilate an original cable.

An STF puts out composite sync on pin 2.

You're right. The STE schematics have clearly the words "stuffed in non modulator versions only" for the HSYNC+VSYNC to CSYNC combination circuitry, so it's hard to miss.
Re-checked the STF schematics and the exact same circuitry is there, just in a bit less pronounced way ;-)
