For members who own a Pal Amiga 1000, I wanted to show what I've just received... The little adapter PCB!

The PCBs for the A500/600/2000 Kickstart Switcher are also arrived.

I've made a big order of components for all versions of the Kickstart Switcher (A1000 and A500 to 2000).

I havn't kept upto date on this, I take it you dont need a kickstart disk with this kit?

OK!
The adapter is made to plug two different versions of Kickstart. The 1.3 and the 3.1 for example.
And you'll switch between them with a long reset (3 or 10 seconds depend of the jumper configuration)
There is also a bi-color LED which shows which kickstart is used.
No kickstart disk needed anymore!

Switchers arrived! Thanks!

Now I need to find some time to dismantle my A1000...:D

can't leave a feedback...why?!

Couldn't Tux make a for sale thread in the proper place, add the reserves table and we post to confirm our orders so we can exchange feedback for his work? Same with his other 2 project threads.

Three solutions:

1- NTSC version: 15€

2- Pal version 1: 20€
Made with the kickstart switcher board with the little PCB adapter + ribbon which allow to avoid to install a socket onto the motherboard of the Amiga 1000.

3- Pal version 2: 15.50€
Made with the NTSC version and a 28 pins socket to solder onto U5N EVEN Place of the Amiga 1000 motherboard.

Well, I have work a lot onto the Kickstart Switcher.
All components and sockets are soldered onto all adapters.
They are ready to be configured in PAL or NTSC version.
Some members who have declared their interest didn't say which version they need.

I hate the PAL version... Really! Yes because it's long to make the ribbon... and so simple to make the NTSC version...
And I hate the PAL version because it's so UGLY with the ribbon PCB adapter.

Look at the photo below of the first finalized PAL Kickstart Switcher:
