After selling my A1200 and lovely Blizzy 1260 years ago, I find myself back building a 1200 again :geek:

I went from an A1200 to a MiSTer FPGA computer in a Checkmate mini case which I used for a few years for Amiga, PC, Playstation and Genesis gaming before getting the bug for 'real' hardware again (oh dear, there's no helping some people). I then went a bit crazy to be honest and ordered all original bits from eBay to build my first ever C64 (which I love), a period correct (mostly) Win98 PC and another PC running WinXP (both in Fractal cases) and finally starting tracking down hens teeth parts to build an original 1200. I managed to find a nice case and keyboard with some good luck but the motherboard took years to arrive (from AmigaKit).

Currently my A1200 build is: 3.2 ROM, Indy Mrk3 (VGA to a PC CRT) and a TF1260. I'm also going to be getting a PiStorm so that I can run some crazy stuff like my new game G-Wars

I'll post up some more pics/video when I get everything running.

I got bored of doing endless PC ports and decided it was about time I developed my own game :)

It's been a ton or work so far, much more that I expected (I'm coding everything from scratch).

Thanks for the welcomes back, nice to see some familiar people still around in the scene :)

What is it about the Amiga that causes these relapses in addiction? Clearly it's all the goodness.

Also, is anything about an Amiga/Commodore addiction bad? I can't think of a thing.

Welcome back NovaCoder. Always enjoy your DOSBox and ScummVM ports to 68k Amigas.

Welcome back Novacoder! You sound like myself with your retro Win98 PC - something similar I did over Covid to pass the time and to get some 3dfx Voodoo goodness :)

I finally managed to get my new A1200 up and running and so I've been busy updating some of my old RTG ports to support 16/32 bit color depth (where possible). I've already updated my old ports of DOSBox and Dune2 (OpenDune) and I'm working on ScummVM next :)

This is a picture of my old girl, the Amiga....not the wallpaper :p

I recently updated my old ScummVM RTG build to add some fancy new PiStorm friendly enhancements, this includes advanced 32-bit scalers for old games like Monkey Island 2.

I've also added 32-bit color support to PrBoom, OpenDune and DOSBox recently if anyone fancies some more 32-bit love. And have also re-released AmiQuake and AmiQuake 2 with all the effects maxed out for the PiStorm (which I can run at 1024x768 on my CRT). Also, have just released a big update to my OpenGL shooter G-WARS (CM4 required for that).

Enjoy.

Yes I have been very bored recently ;)

Some nice work there sir! Nice work indeed!

Hey @NovaCoder will have to try out your new builds on a PiStorm setup. I just loaded up your old ones (AmiQuake 1&2) on my new Trinity 1260, Quake 1 is 66mhz, Quake 2 is 80mhz on the 060, they still run great!
