I've been getting a bit fed up with my Google Nexus 7 as it keeps refusing to power on, and takes loads of messing around to bring it back to life. Great when it's working, but not when it refuses to power on. So I thought I would see what bargains were around at the moment, and I was especially interested in a 10" as I've recently moved my magazine subscriptions to digital.
And I discovered this:
Samsung Galaxy TabPro 10.1 16GB for just £229.99

I was really interested in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5" model, but those are £400, and when I compared specs the TabPro 10.1 is nearly identical in all but the ram. They both have the same high resolution 2560x1440 screen (the S does have a newer higher contrast screen but the TabPro still looks great), same 16GB storage plus SD card slot, 8MP camera + front webcam, Android 4.4.. The only hardware difference other than the screen contrast is the S has 3GB ram and the TabPro has 2GB. You really won't notice the difference considering my Nexus 7 with 1GB runs everything fine.
So I've now ordered a TabPro and think this is a real bargain I needed to share. The same model everywhere else is still £400 so similar price to the S, it is just Currys and PC World offering this low price. Well worth it.
