A little while ago I purchased an A4000T, which survived a transatlantic shipping process quite well. I fired it up when I received it and it worked fine. Booted up from the SCSI HD, no problem. Used it for an hour and then put it away.
Today I pull it apart, fit an Indivision Mk2 and fire it up.
Black screen. Uh-oh.
I have disconnected the SCSI HD and CD-ROM (leaving the cable in place, terminated). No joy.
I have removed the SIMMS from the motherboard. Still no joy.
Between it working originally and today, it hasn't been touched.
When I power it up, there's the tiniest 'click' from the speaker a few seconds after power on. If I press Caps Lock on the keyboard more than 12-13 times, that stops responding.
I'm going to have a cup of tea now, because I'm vexed! If you know of anything I can try, I would be most grateful.
