Dear all,

i have a Benq 702A attached to a PicassoII in my A3000.
Pal modes, passthrough, are perfect but i cannot find any working modes using either PicassoII native software, nor Picasso96 nor CGX4, the monitors always ends out of range or stays black.
Does anyone has experience with this combination and can help me please ?

Thank you,
Dominique.

Hi, I'm using the same monitor on my A4000 with a PicassoIV card though, and never had problems with resolutions, regardless of using Picasso96 software or CGX4. Maybe you should try one of them first?

Thank you for your answer, i have tested this configuration with another monitor and it works fine.
However could you tell me wich vertical and horizontal frequencies do you use, maybe i can use the same ?

I'm just using the native monitor resolution, either in 8bit or 16bit mode. What resolutions are you trying to achieve?

I believe you shouldn't connect a Picasso II to an LCD... It blows a resistor or something on the RTG card. Google/look on fora for details.

The resister can be removed afaik! I have 3 x Picasso II's and one has a burnt resister. From what I can recall the resister is not needed for lcd screens anyway.
I cannot remember where I saw or read it though :(
