OK, I know it's nothing new putting together these best game type of lists but seeing as so many people bought Everdrives I thought I would start something here - now we have SO MANY games to play I would really like to discover and play some over looked or rare titles....

I'll go first... I know this game isn't a secret but because the cart is commanding such a price these days I never thought I would ever get a chance to actually play it on my Mega Drive...

MUSHA - What an excellent Vertical Shooter!!

Really looking forward to reading some of your recommendation...

Well i've bought an Everdrive MD but have been playing Master System Games all night. Mostly been playing Phantasy Star

Knuckles Chaotix & Mortal Kombat 2 if you have a 32x

MD Games:
Vectorman 1 & 2
Gunstar Heroes
Castlevania Bloodlines
Strider
Micro Machines '96
Loony Toons ACME Allstars for 2 player.
Streets of rage 1-3
Sonic All of them Duh :P

Nice short list until I get on a keyboard to type on :)

Been on mine all night also.

Street Fighter II
Sonic
Gunstar Heroes
Gods
Space Harrier
Turrican
Adams Family
Revenge of Shinobi

:)

Streets of Rage is awesome in 60Hz, so fluid.

Shadowrun is an awesome game on the MD (i also like the Snes version too!)

Shmups:
MUSHA - story, music, pretty colors
GleyLancer - imagine gradius but better
Twinkle Tale - unique ground based shmup
Trouble Shooter Vintage
Divine Sealing - crap but still fun to look at. ;)

RPG:
Monster World 4
King Colossus

and the Phantasy Star II adventure series if you're into text adventures.

Couple more to the must have list:

Ristar - Up there with the sonic games
Micro Machine '96 Tournament Edition - Best mulitplayer ever
Shinobi 3 - Perfected the shinobi games
Dynamite Headdy - Platformy version of gunstar heroes.

Rocket Knight Adventures 1 & 2 are must play games. Platforming & flying with a jetpack = fun times :)

32x:
After Burner Complete - Arcade perfect version (Just wish megadrive had an analogue stick for this)
Virtua Fighter - Better than the 1st Saturn version & no load times = epic

I haven't discovered any non working games from any region as yet on the Mega Drive... does the Mega Drive have a region lock out chip like the SNES?

If not I guess just getting a 50/60 mod would be enough to see some games at their best.

No region lock on the MD only 50/60hz as that was used to distinguish the region back in the day :o

There is somewhat of a lock-out in the sense that "some" games will not fully boot on other-region consoles. For example, Megaman Wily Wars will state "game is for play on PAL and French SECAM consoles only." It will set on that message indefinitely.
Its coded into the ROM though, so no, the console does not have a lock out chip.

The 50/60 mod is pretty easy, so go for it!

This is noticable with Streets of Rage which had both language versions encoded into the cartridge.

@ Gouldin, Ristar was actually made by SonicTeam if I'm not mistaken. The character was one of the early designs for what would become Sonic himself. They later decided to give the Ristar design his own game.

And why hasn't anyone mentioned Sonic 3 + Knuckles?

Those of you that havent, I highly recomend modding your megadrives for use with the Everdrive. there are a plethora of games that become so much more enjoyable at 60Hz, Streets of Rage is one of them.

Not accurate enough :p

 (Stupid phone)

Didn't know that about Ristar, just have fond memories as a kid when I rented it from Blockbuster, then begged and peaded for my parents to buy me a copy (Which they never did  )

Pretty much same deal here... I rented it a few times though!
